This is a one piece, high flow pre-filter for your Danner 1200 GPH or 950 GPH Pondmaster pump. It is a slip fit over the 3/4 NPT inlet (no tools).
The mesh openings are approximately 0.5mm / 0.020" and are effective in catching hair, fuzz from clothing, and other debris that could clog the pump's impeller. It has a large surface area to prevent any restriction on the pump, even as debris builds up on the mesh.
It is very easy to simply lift off the pump and wipe clean. Lift very carefully, straight up, to avoid debris washing off when you remove it. For that reason, install it very gently, so it is not seated tightly.
Hand wash in warm soapy water. No hot water. No dishwasher.

First one broke apparently for no reason, but I decided to buy a new one. After couple months , it just fell off and I found it in the bottom of the plunge ; the collar was broken in two pieces .
Might be a weak 3d print area , who knows .

Catches hair and small particles like a beast. Makes keeping my cold plunge clean a lot easier! Highly recommended!
Right out of the box everything works perfectly! 3d printer parts are well made and fit well! I have had the same water in my tank for over a year with no cloudiness or much bio film. I change out the filter about every two months and put a 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide in as well. Love it and really think that a lot people problems with their setups would work better with no leaks to hunt down. The fact that the filter is in the tank cuts down on the mess of leaks and other problems with having filters mounted outside the tank.
